Alden Bigelow's Biography

Alden Bigelow is a native of Charlottesville Virginia, a writer and retired Advertising Executive. He moved to New York City in the early 70s to work for the Advertising Agency of Ogilvy and Mather. He later returned to Charlottesville to start his own Agency, which he ran for over 30 years. He now spends much of his time writing.

 

Bigelow holds a B.A. from California State University Hayward and a Masters Degree in Legal History from The University of Virginia. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Blue Ridge Writers (BRW).

Alden Bigelow supports and donates to Caring for Creatures, which, in 1987, became the Charlottesville area’s first private no kill sanctuary.  A portion of the proceeds from all of his publications is dedicated to www.caringforcreatures.org.

 

Bigelow lives at Lake Monticello, Virginia, with his wife, Marjorie, and their dog, Elvis. His son and daughter-in-law live in Maplewood, New Jersey with three delightful grandchildren.
